Int’l Conference on Centenary of Qom Seminary to be held on May 7

Hujjat al-Islam Moghimi Haji, made some remarks in a press conference on the International Conference on Centenary of Qom Seminary and the Commemoration of the Status of Ayatollah Sheikh Abdul Karim Haeri Yazdi in the Malek Museum Garden in Tehran, saying, “The Qom Seminary has 12 centuries of history and background. This ancient seminary flourished again with the blessed presence of the Late Ayatollah Haeri Yazdi and became a center for great professors and students to spread the Ahl al-Bayt school in Iran and around the world.”

AhlulBayt News Agency: Hujjat al-Islam Moghimi Haji, made some remarks in a press conference on the International Conference on Centenary of Qom Seminary and the Commemoration of the Status of Ayatollah Sheikh Abdul Karim Haeri Yazdi in the Malek Museum Garden in Tehran, saying, “The Qom Seminary has 12 centuries of history and background. This ancient seminary flourished again with the blessed presence of the Late Ayatollah Haeri Yazdi and became a center for great professors and students to spread the Ahl al-Bayt school in Iran and around the world.”

The Secretary General of the International Conference on the 100th Anniversary of the Re-establishment of the Qom Seminary stated,” A 20-volume collection of written works and course descriptions has been prepared for this conference, which was revised, researched, and restored with great difficulty. Among the goals of this conference was to restore the works of the late Ayatollah Haeri Yazdi.”

Hujjat al-Islam Moghimi Haji further noted,” The seminary that he founded to revive the cause of religion in Iran and various places was the beginning of the growth of various sciences. In the last hundred years, we have witnessed the establishment and development of new disciplines in the seminary. Presenting the growth and development of knowledge in the seminary's one hundred years of activity was among the goals of this conference.”

He added,” 25 scientific panels were formed four years ago for this conference, and each group formed a scientific as well as a policy-making council for its activities. These 25 groups and 6 Kurdish scholarly groups began their work in 2021. By identifying topics and creating a call, after evaluating, revising, documenting, and enriching the received articles, a prestigious scientific collection has been produced in various disciplines. Scientific, cultural and artistic works, a collection of photos of scholars, etc. were topics that were produced in different formats.”

Hujjat al-Islam Moghimi Haji stated,” On May 7, the International Conference on Centenary of Qom Seminary and the tribute to the Late scholar, Ayatollah Haeri, will be held at Imam al-Kadhim (PBUH) Seminary School in Qom. Messages from great religious authorities will be presented in this conference, and we will witness the presence of two Shia sources of emulation and distinguished guests. In the evening of the first day of the conference, 25 specialized sessions on various scientific topics will be held.”

He added,” The Seminary and Propagation Conference, the Seminary and International Forum Conference, the Seminary, Islamic Revolution and Resistance Conference, and the Seminary, Women and Family Conference are the titles of the four conferences that will be held on the second day of the event in four separate halls in Qom, and researchers will present scientific lectures. The Seminary, Interaction with the University, and Development in the Humanities and Islamic Sciences Conference will be held with the participation of various institutions two weeks after this conference.”

The Secretary General of the International Conference on the 100th Anniversary of the Re-establishment of the Qom Seminary concluded by saying,” This conference will be held in Qom on May 7th and 8th, with the participation of national and international figures, writers, and professors in various fields.”
